Fresh Produce
How It All Started
Let's face it, we get spoiled by the summer bounty of fresh vegetables we've been enjoying from our gardens. But by the end of summer and into fall, the garden will stop producing an abundance of beans, flavorful tomatoes, luscious lettuce, and more.
And the vegetables we buy at the grocery stores are not always the freshest in our area. So what's a person to do who craves fresh vine ripened vegetables and herbs in the fall and winter months? Grow our own!
We looked around and realized that we have empty greenhouse space, so to feed our gardening addiction, we've been in the planning stages of something for quite some time now, and we are excited to announce that Sweetwater Garden will be growing fresh herbs and vegetables during fall and winter!
It has always been important for us to know where our food comes from. We realize that fresh is always best, so having vegetables grown right here in Riverton, in the middle of a Wyoming winter, available to buy on the day they're picked, is sometheing special. Freshly picked produce alwasy tastes so much better! Using our greenhouses and organic soil, we will offer a variety of veggies throughout the fall and into the winter for sale at the garden center.
We will also be introducing the Winter Market at Sweetwater Garden which will be held on Saturdays from 10 am - 1 pm each week from October 26th to January 25th and will offer many local agricultural and craft producers. You may find fresh produce, meats, cheeses, eggs, honey, cookies and bread, soaps and lotions, and gift items. In keeping with our roots in agriculture, preference will be given to food products and crafters. You will be able to shop from your friends and neighbors - all local producers - in the warmth of our greenhouse.
It has always been important for ust to know where our food comes from.
