Onion
A must grow in the home garden. Plant bulbs or transplants in full sun in early spring as they are frost tolerant. Onions have shallow roots and prefer moist soil, so water regularly. When onions reach maturity their stems will turn brown around the bulb. Onions should be layed out to cure prior to storage.
