Salvia
Butterflies and hummingbirds love the nectar filled flowers of Salvia. It blooms all summer long, and makes a great thriller in containers. Salvia is deer resistant and drought tolerant. Plant in ful sun with well drained soil. Salvia grows 12-18" tall and wide, use in container plantings, and garden beds to attract pollinators, it also makes an excellent cut flower for arrangements.
